Mulberry for Sabina's Apple - yes please!

Ok so FASHION GENIUS is the collection designed by Mulberry made for Apple, not just for me. But there are a few pieces I feel were taken from my imagination when I first held my MacBook Pro in my hands.

I was given my first piece of Mulberry at 16, a delivery to the door with a note from a cousin saying this is for your car keys. She didn't know the driving age had gone to 17, (there are quite a few years between us), so for a year I had with my house keys a lovely red leather heart key chain until I transferred it onto my first set of car keys, and I have been a lover of the label ever since.

Mulberry have created the collection based on their favourite Mulberry bags, for Apple's best sellers – the MacBook, MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPod, and iPod Nano. Laptop bags, laptop sleeves and mini cross-body bags for the iPhone make up the nine piece collection. Mulberry icons like the Bayswater for women and the Brynmore for men, retain their coveted exteriors; but inside, the bags have been enhanced with features like padded laptop sections, phone and music player pockets and eyelet holes for headphone access.

My favourites:

Ink Blue 'Bayswater' mini messenger for iPhone £150

Neon Pink Patent 'Daria' Laptop Sleeve for Sabina (13 inch MacBook) £350

White patent 'Bayswater' sleeve (13 inch MacBook) £350

Black 'Daria' Laptop Tote £595

Deciding to do the collaboration was a no-brainer for Mac fanatic Emma Hill, Mulberry's Creative Director. "Apple products are too beautiful to reside in drab bags! Apple and Mulberry share a legacy of craftsmanship and I'm thrilled that we were asked to be Apple's first luxury collaboration," says Hill.

Prices range from £150 - £750.

My Apple products are so important to my work and they deserve to be wrapped in the best, which is Mulberry. And when I leave them in the office, I will still have a fab bag for whatever I chose.

The bags will be available on Apple's European website http://www.apple.com/euro/store/ and Mulberry stores on November 1st and on www.mulberry.com from December 1st.

So technically you've got a whole day to decide what you want....

I swear on the holy Vogue that I will post more often!

After London Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, becoming a Celebrity Stylist and a mad week of press days, events, many personal requests for more posts all while in the process of getting myself a beautiful new office decorated, having taken on a part time assistant and some more press days in between, here you go. For the next few days I will be embarking on a journey, a fashion and beauty journey to far and beyond, and they will call it, a BLOGATHON!

I reported on London Fashion Week for F.TAPE with my beautiful and chic french colleague, and attended lots of shows on behalf of Volt. There were lots of front rows and thus lots of goody bag action, but regardless of seats and treats, good shows were fabulous, and bad shows were tiresome.

Day one of LFW began with everyone dressed to the max, in titanic heels, full of excitement, kisses and being happy to stand and pose for photos…by the end of the week we were all in flats and I threw on a pair of old jeans no longer wanting any one to stop me for a photo. (It didn’t actually work though).

There’s something about being asked to have your photo take that can be absolutely flattering or completely daunting. Front row at celeb studded PPQ in a show stopping dress (yes I can say that about my own dress) it was definitely fun and flattering having my photo taken. However, I have noticed how vigilant one needs to be, as they just come at you from nowhere and I was on my phone at the time. At the after party I put my drink down, a photographer approached me for a photo and said ‘could you hold your champagne glass again please?’ So my best advice is to just stand and smile at all times, only kidding, but as an Aries I am naturally vein (yes I place total blame on my star sign) and when you see photos of yourself with your mouth in some weird sort of angle (I may have been talking and unaware of those darned paps) it makes you wary, and one takes note.

Something I can’t believe I’m about to share with you was the most embarrassing moment of my life. In a beautiful vintage gown that my mum kept from the 70s, hair jugged, red lips and my leopard print Loubou’s, I thought I looked pretty damn hot. Somerset House is beautiful but as the new LFW venue, cobbled stoned floor and a sea of fashionistas in the highest platforms in the world, GIVE A GIRL A BREAK! My Loubou’s were my most comfy shoes and for some reason, they failed me on this day. As I walked to the tent, passing the coffee stand, I felt my ankle go limp, and I buckled in horror - if I could have gone red I would have. And suddenly I knew why we see pictures of celebs with umbrellas, feet and fists going into the lenses and often the photographers heads as to my distress I heard the repeated sound of a camera shutter going off, and looked to my left to see a wonderful paparazzi of a man, smirking at his viewfinder. I walked over and demanded he stop and delete them all right now. He claimed he ‘didn’t get the shot’ and I’m glad nothing has ever surfaced, but boy do I get why having your photo taken continuously and especially at a ‘bad’ moment can make your blood boil! One of my best fashion besties actually locked himself in the toilet for a little while because the paps wouldn’t leave him alone… poor thing, and he did look absolutely amazing.

Another lesson: Trust no one! I had things stolen from my bag during Basso & Brooke's show in the main tent. You wont know who everyone sitting around you is and a lot of people (if PRs aren't doing their jobs properly) have blagged their way in to a show so BEWARE OF THE BLAGGERS AND THEIVES OF LFW - I know I wasn't the only person who was robbed....

All in all I did pretty great for my first LFW (yes it’s true and no one seems to believe me). I secured some amazing backstage access and got some great interviews with designers, some of whom I have kept in contact with and thus fingers crossed for exclusives and the latest news on what they’re up to (on www.ftape.com). I’m very excited to start working on our next issue of Volt (www.volt-mag.com) in addition to my own stylist work. I've been very blessed to have received offers for further writing positions but I strongly believe in quality over quantity and have said no for now. But I'm grateful for the recognition, I’m uber excited about my new office, and continuing to work as hard as I possibly can, while of course keeping you all as up to date as poss.

I hope you're ready for it!

P.S

I've just got some edits back from a shoot I styled on Monday. I likey...
